Brain teaser questions are designed understand how a person thinks.
You don't need to come up with the right answer. Just demonstrate a logical thought process.
Make several assumptions right off the bat to simplify the problem:
A school bus can hold about 60 people.
There are about 8 million people in New York City.
It takes about two days to drive to drive from New York to Miami or four days round trip.
With these assumptions, it would take 133,334 bus trips to move the population.
You would multiply that by four days then subtract two since you wouldn't need to do the last leg back.
That would mean it would take 533,334 days to move everyone or just under a millennium and a half.
You could also try to just explain your calculation steps rather than doing the math on a sheet of paper.
You'll want to keep your response as short as possible and all those calculations might take a bit.
